JOHANNESBURG – Stats SA has announced the exclusion of crucial data from its Census 2022 amid questions about its credibility. 
Household income, fertility, mortality and employment have been withdrawn.

The agency cites reporting and coverage bias for this development.
It says it’s been advised by the South African Statistics Council to make the exclusions.
Some researchers have raised concerns about the data, saying it’s incoherent.
